Love is pain and suffering invited for ever,

well, if life itself is an illusion, so what, then, is love?
and, thinking a little further... we are prisoners of our physical bodies so the pain may be real in this world, but what is this world in the global scheme of things? and love, i feel, is not confined to the physical existence...
sorry, i'm rambling, but that's what your post did to my mind... ;)

A pensive post Lorraine - lovely sepia photo...

Having maximised the photo I read a sad verse, a break-out of emotions, a sepia poem. There is a lot between the lines which contains real great feelings.

Best wishes
Ralf

First off the photo is superb Lorraine.
I think we create most of our own pain because of the limitations of our body and intellect.
If we truly understood the impermanence of everything we'd have much less pain and suffering and would put the blame where it belongs...on ourselves. Having said that I need to follow my own advice a little closer :)

Polona, from what I understand only Love is Real, I get that, but why aren't we wiser, God knows we've long enough to know better...I like that it made you think, how nice of you to tell me ;)

Thanks a lot Frank, I guess sometimes I rebel against my own bad ideas lol thanks for compliment about the photo :)

Ralf, I knew you could read between the lines and thank you very much!

I know my dear, it just seems there is so much cruelty I have trouble keeping in mind that we're responsible, oh hell yo know what I mean ;)
