Oh WOW! That road calls me for a walk, Loraine...its so lovely! :)About what you said, I too know only that :)love, dev
Isn't that the truth - and shouldn't we be content just knowing that...well said Lorraine.
It is enough. We needn't know more.
Beautiful picture!! Words are so very true!!
Nice play on the word "rise". Because shouldn't everyday be elevated to the highest level?
Each day begins with promise. Walk the path and see what happens.
Good point, Ken! I love this poem, it is like the refrain of a song...and gives a peaceful feeling, as if there was nothing else on earth that we need to know!
Do we know that? In my St-Thomas-eyes it is just a very supposable thing. But it is a good guideline through life. Though I saw it all aroundNever thought that I could be affectedThought that we'd be the last to goIt is so strange the way things turnDrove the night toward my homeThe place that I was born, on the lakesideAs daylight broke, I saw the earthThe trees had burned down to the groundDon't give upYou still have usDon't give upWe don't need much of anythingDon't give up'Cause somewhere there's a place where we belong (http://www.metrolyrics.com/dont-give-up-lyrics-kate-bush.html)Best wishesRalf

Though I saw it all around
Never thought that I could be affected
Thought that we'd be the last to go
It is so strange the way things turn
Drove the night toward my home
The place that I was born, on the lakeside
As daylight broke, I saw the earth
The trees had burned down to the ground
Don't give up
You still have us
Don't give up
We don't need much of anything
Don't give up
'Cause somewhere there's a place where we belong
