This reminds of my school/college days...we had a tank in the terrace and i would make it the most natural with bed of sand, gravel and small rocks..then water hyacinth, lillies, fishes et al...and during the night I would take my books and sit with my legs immersed in it...read, long into the night under a starry moonlit night :)
Immersing legs in water is a way to keep sleep off! :)
but here you talk of deep connection...if it tickles, will the connection work ;-))
I loved this, Lorraine...
but then I'm made to think of the contrast..establishing a connection with earth in flowing water can be really testing/interesting as you see it...I enjoy it when i walk through streams, and in the low-flowing river :)
Thanks very much Ralf, I hope your connection tickels too ;)
Hey Brian, some are always more fun than others, I like the connection of feet to water, sand, earth, grass ;)
LOL Gautami, works form me ;)
Wow I like that Dev, there's nothing more comforting than foot on earth or water lol :)
Go Michael, find 5 minutes somewhere, anywhere, take off your sneakers, socks and dig in, even if it's just a small stream, it'll do wonders for you ;)

Clean and crystal clear, both the words and the photo. :)
How high's the water? Oh, about a foot.

I love the lightheartedness of the last line, a nice balance for the first two. Thanks Lorraine, great picture and verse.
