I love it! and I have learned never to believe totally what you see...actions may indeed speak louder than words and photos! And for you we get to know your through it all!
There's something in the way you keep blurring these self-portraits that allows us to project our own constructions of you on to them. Very clever indeed.
Sometimes a cursory glance leaves much at bay.. I think what you say here could be said for a lot of people.. very, very perceptive, done in lucid style, in the garb of wonderful poetry...
When I first saw this... I loved the comic approach to the reality of what one thinks of one's self. I think... it's the slight blur of the beautiful photo, that adds mystery to the poetry. Just grand! _m

Love that picture of you :)

dev
My pleasure Dev, and thanks very much!
i'll disagree...just to disagree...lol. i guess it all depends do they see the outer everyday you or thatwhich resides inside much deeper?
Please do, most don't take the time to look for more than the surface, and that doesn't bother seeing as how I'm a hermit! lol thanks Brian
As Brian said, it depends on that other person how much he or she can see...
Love your photo!
Thanks a lot Gautami :)

That's a lovely comment Colette K ;) thanks so much!
I think a lot of people probably underestimate you! I love the pic too! (Looks like rocker-chic to me! lol)
sourire donne de la jeunesse
Also, the blogs don't show the real us, either. The frivilous side, maybe.
Très bel autoportrait qui invite notre imagination à vagabonder Lorraine!
Hey Kathy, you're such a sweety :)
Bonjour Allan, c'est vrai c'est si beau un sourire :)
It's a nice outlet for things you don't show, thanks for your smart comment Lynne :)
Bonjour Richard, merci beaucoup, je suis contente de savoir que ton retour de vacances se fait en douceur :)

it's not how others see you,
it's how you see yourself.
although,
that's how others see it.
Love this perceptive piece chère amie. For many the magic lies in your words too. :)
Well, you look very wise in your profile photo--or is THIS one the real you...?? (very mischievous, I must say!)
Do we ever really grow up? I hope not! This is so cool Lorraine. Playful and mysterious!
a great auto portrait !!!
Well, you didn't blur the photo ENOUGH, so I can plainly tell that you ain't ugly, girl :)
Something wonderful happens Maxine when you stop taking yourself seriously ;)
tDL ah the way you have with words, it's a gift thanks tDL :)
Magyar,I stopped imposing something that did not feel like me anymore, dropped the mask, start the fun ;)
Seraphine, very true, but the burden of taking myself seriously was getting heavy, so I dropped the cloth ;)
and it kinda started with you, then I looked again, and decided to hell with the mask lol and strangely enough dear Janice, I know you get it ;)
Dear sweet Bird, i am what I am which was never who I was, I learned lol
Only on the outside Robin, only on the outside :)
Namaki, yes yes it is...'cause it doesn't matter anymore and I like that!
Well Timoteo, I never said I was ugly, I said I was a little uglier...and it's groovy ;)
