You should come visit Savannah! The cemeteries there are so beautiful and peaceful. They are old and dripping with Spanish moss and the stones are ornate. They used to have bells on top of the graves with a rope that was buried with the dearly departed just in case they were not really dead and woke up in the casket. They had to hire someone to sit in the cemetery all night to listen for the ringing of the bells!
Intriguing post today...but makes sense, in its own way....haunting picture and words,
Cemeteries were one of my most favourite places while in school....we had one near and i used to go and sit there -- so peaceful (no, but not at night --
Hi Lorraine When I go visit the cemetary where my parents and other family members are buried I also go around and look at many of the other headstones and then say a prayer for all those that I have visited. I feel a deep sense of peace when I visit a cemetary!
i thrive on space; i'm an empty nester, husband long gone, (still alive); children grown, managing their own spaces, but my space is precious to me, i think, i write, i make new poets friends - precious space

Well put Doug, but his shadow here needs a lot of space to spread :)
Brian, silent and lots or room to roam ;)
I'm glad, thanks Eddie ;)
That's lovely and interesting, I'd love to see photos, but the real question is...would it give me a lot of space?
