Steps falter on narrowed roads

Walking on, step by step
Shuffling forward, looking at signs
Entrusted for Centuries
Paved with thousands of memories
To continue dragging on
Promises intact

Since the beginning of time
Signs pointing to a destination
Chosen by others no wiser
Maped by those who chose
Sinuous routes showing charts
Allegedly safe passages

Far away from Our Own Path

Interesting Lorraine...vey nicely put :)

I was reminded of:

"Nobody came to meet me
With a lantern
Had to find my way up
The steps by weak moonlight"
Anna Akhmatova

but if seen that ultimately all paths lead to God...the way is so much clear!:)

love,

Agreed and nice quote Dev, however each path is different so to follow another's --- not good!

and i also meant to say...the diverse paths are so converging :)

okay your response was faster...my second response clarifies i guess....You can't say whats good and whats bad...its all personal choices/predestined paths; i think Lorraine...

i am not to comment on that; but can only choose mine, if at all i have a choice...why I say that, sometimes you choose a path and it will never work, or go any further :)

no path is bad, unless you don't follow yours...you can't follow someone else's path, I may be arrogant, and my life sucks, but I have followed my path all the way, and never would I follow another. It may be true that if I had followed a better path, that I may never have burned out, but you live the best way you know, it's ours to mess up!

that's absolute sense Lorraine...only that it was all predestined events to make us better and God-loving, than bitter --- well, we all have our arrogant/fun and all those moments in any of these paths of life...its only human, perhaps, its that path which makes some to set path for others...I don't believe in doing that,

though i love to see a smile on the face of others...and love to see happiness around :)

the picture is interesting, the words laying ont eh horizon...i do think we all have to find our own path...it is good to walk together, but not imitate another...some interesting thoughts as i roll through the comments today....

Le thème du cheminement : le chemin a plus d'importance que l'objectif final.

Walking, step by step, alone.

We are always alone... ?

Am reminded of Frank Sinatra's "I Did It My Way"...in particular a verse: "I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way..."
It matters not the path for each is an individual - what matters is that we follow and understand our path despite the obstacles.

It's interesting to see the markers others have left on their journeys. Lovely, Lorraine.
