You look away from my searching eyes

Preferring to see it as a precursor to intimacy
Yet I hope that a meeting of soul will suffice
But you refuse to acknowledge the message I carry
I’m not so good, nor so wise
I merely refuse to lie

Is it so hard to gaze upon me
To hide behind this mask you think I can’t see
Sometimes, worse, much worse you stay
To gaze impudently at what you think
Is an offering of body

Until I have no choice, but to look away

Good one Lorraine and Looking away is a good choice (not a "no choice" situation)....more often, i think so :)

Thanks Dev, sometimes it's the only option ;)

True Dev but in your case you are legally forced to look away, it says so in the marriage contract.

your first lines explain the reason....intimacy is a hard thing to take, i guess :)

No nothing like that, Lorriane....And I tell you, when you have the freedom, you don't want to use it!:)

Lorraine....I'm afraid our talks took this in the very same direction that you wanted to look away from -- Its essentially because I think while women focus on soul and inner beauty, men seldom seek that in women...thats my understanding too...and thats why i said, looking away would be my first choice

of course there could be exceptions; then perhaps its a matter of looking at the right place...

ever heard the term 'eye candy' well the young people here use it a lot; married and unmarried
can participate in the sport of admiration(unabashed) need i say;
in a wicked mood i guess :)

Darling Dev, I understand more than you know ;)

Ha Brian, life can be weird at times, lol thanks

Oh Gillena sweet girl, if we're going to be wicked then let me reassure you that I LOVE SEX, but I can't do it with someone that doesn't intellectually turn me on! Life is a bitch..or I am too smart for my own good...and I mean no self-applause here..

i know that...but, just to ensure that I get the message you carry here :)

Lorraine, I loved the honesty.

"Yet I hope that a meeting of soul will suffice" - powerful line and you are so worthy of someone appreciating your beautiful soul.
