hmmm...intrigued by this one...my take would be that if we kill all the trees and can no longer breath what good is the help that comes from cutting down the trees in the first place...so can we live with the consequences?

That's it to a T...we should learn of the impact of our actions, before we act, unfortunately, and as You know Brian, that is no the case.

I was thinking roughly the same as Brian.

It's so annoying that there are so many industrial buildings in our area that are for lease or sale and yet they keep tearing down trees and taking away farm fields to build new ones...I just don't get it.

i feel pretty good that i planted 5 trees this year. i don't know if that "offsets" the impact of having to heat the house or drive to work, but at least i contributed.
i'm pretty good at recycling too.

__Now... one can be made to feel guilty if: they use an old fashioned pencil; a ping pond paddle; a pool cue; a baseball bat or a croquet mallet; tooth picks; a violin or recorder; a clarinet, or by simply... by reading a book.

__Thoughtless felling, is the real culprit. As my Grandfather has said... "The greatest hunter, kills the least."

Thanks Comrade ;)

THat makes 2 of us my dear Talon :)

Way to go Sera, that's lovely :)

Doug, I get what you're saying, and that quote is perfect...there has to be some thoughts for the future , while still trying to reach a common sense approach, judging is useless 'cause we're all in it, but there has to me a reasonable compromise..all I know is that not breathing well kinda puts a crink in comfort :)

D'accord a 100% Richard :)

Yes, it is very sad that trees are being cut down. Perhaps we should all try to recyle more!

We need trees we need nature ...I'm awful at recycling, mainly because I always go back and get my books and magazines :(

and also I should mention, that somany trees were cut from the marina, for concrete that has absolutely no saving grace except for some houses that can see more of the river...
