Synchronicity at play, Lorraine. I took a sunrise shot the other morning (first not completely cloudy day in ages) and it had that same egg quality. I just put it as my header shot.

I love how your mind works - the egg shape giving birth. Lovely!

I probably should have said solar halo instead because I meant the halo around the sun but the coloured spot near bottom right hand corner looks to be a sundog which is spots of light not far from the sun caused by the way sun gleams through ice crystals in the air...
