You Free me
From a restlessness that has no bound
The one that hounds
You free me
From this incessant desire
That can't keep me still
Yet grounds me against my will

For precious moments
Your splendour is all I need

Nice picture, warm verse. Somehow that reminds me - again - of lyrics by Kate Bush.

Best wishes
Ralf

The photo is stupendous and the words leave me wordless.

Oh, father's day today? In Germany something like that is on some people's timetable on Ascension Day. Many men (especially around Berlin) go out for a walk and for to have two or too many drinks. Not my cup of tea. But if Father's Day in your eyes it is something like Mother's Day (just for the male part), I say thanky you (and tell Lara and Ben to prepare supper).

Great inspiration. Thank you.

Wow, wow, WOW, Lorraine! I'm loving the longer poems as well. The rhymes in this kind of drop out and then fall back into place again. Brilliant rhythm. I wanted it to go on for longer though!

You just ignored my comment! :(

Not a complaint...i just looked in to read the comments and your response, anyway....and i consider them little gestures -- may be the careful carelessness -- to show how much we care! :)

hey don't take it seriously Lorriane..i just said what I felt!

love,
dev

Lorraine said...

Oh NO, that's horrible, especially since I loved it so...You Must always always tell me when I don't respond!!! More often than not, when it happens is 'cause I answered in my mind and that didn't reach my fingers LOL
ps YOU know you can say anything you want here (except bad things about other visitors lol)

Devika Jyothi said...

Oh its okay, Lorraine :)

saying bad things 'about' 'people' is something I don't do, as a policy....but I might wonder why some people are so and so and such and such...thats a writers quest :)

and then I may try to clarify or clear on some comments...anytime you feel I am not right in doing that you may remove, without second thoughts :)

Lorraine said...

Better not Dev, don't you know I couldn't live without your comments now ;)

Devika Jyothi said...

hey Lorraine, kidding or what?
no one is so important, or less important among commentators...If your work is worth, readers are automatically drawn to you :)

And I meant that Lorraine..i'm one chatterbox..who does not think much when I chatter...so on occassions you feel it might affect someone...do remove it...I will take it in right spirits only! :)

Me, a kidder? ;) no worries Dev, I like you just the way you are and you can be a little weird lol
but then again that's spontaneity for you
